Southern Milling Milkosol Range
Our Milkosol range is renowned for offering high-energy dairy feeds manufactured using only the highest-quality ingredients. Available in three crude protein levels, 16%, 18% and 20%, Milkosol ensures optimum milk solids production in early and late lactation.
The high inclusion of barley and maize in Milkosol provides energy in the form of starch, while its top-quality protein is sourced from Soya Bean Meal. Rumen function is supported with a high level of digestible fibre, while Actisaf live yeast stabilises the rumen and increases efficiency.
Fully balanced with optimal levels of minerals and vitamins, milkosol supports health and immunity from the inside. To help cows manage Negative Energy Balance (NEB) in early lactation, Milkosol contains Megalac, a rumen-protected fat supplement. Milkosol also contains Biotin and zinc to aid hoof health and hardness.
Maxegal 18%
Maxegal 18% from Southern Milling is a high-energy dairy feed formulated using the highest quality ingredients to optimise performance in early and late lactation when grass silage is introduced to the diet.
Maxegal contains 18% crude protein and a high inclusion of native cereals and maize. Good intake is promoted with high levels of digestible fibre, while the feed is fully balanced with optimum levels of minerals and vitamins.
Lacto 16%
Our Lacto 16% feed is a very popular, high-energy option with dairy farmers. This feed is manufactured using the highest quality ingredients to optimise milk yield throughout lactation.
Along with 16% crude protein, Lacto also contains high inclusion of native cereals and maize to provide good starch levels to maintain body condition. Formulated by Southern Milling’s nutritional team, this is a fully balanced dairy feed with optimum levels of minerals and vitamins and high levels of digestible fibre.
