David Downes has a degree in Business Studies from ATU Galway as well as a diploma in Business, Rural development and Agribusiness from Mountbellew Agricultural College.

After completing his studies David joined Southern Milling in 2011. Raised on a Dairy and Beef farm in Doonbeg, West Clare, David has extensive on farm experience providing practical, nutritional support to farmers across Co. Clare.
